Proposed 2A Playoff

I’ll start by placing the 5 #1 seeds in the first 5 spots in the bracket. They will go in point order into pools ABCDD.

Pool A: Culver
Pool B: Heppner
Pool C: Knappa
Pool D: Lakeview, Oakridge

Now to put in the 5 league 2nd-place teams opposite the league champions. Since Pools A and D will be on the top half-bracket, and pools B and C on the bottom half-bracket, I’ll separate based on that. Each team will be placed in the first spot they can possibly be placed in pools CBAAB.

Pool A: Culver, Pilot Rock, Portland Christian
Pool B: Heppner, Santiam, Central Linn
Pool C: Knappa, Bonanza
Pool D: Lakeview, Oakridge

Now the third place teams go into the bracket, into pools CDD if possible. They should not be put in a pool with any other team from the same league. Once Elgin is placed, we know where Weston-McEwen will go, and hopefully we can fill in the other two wild-card teams.

Pool A: 1. Culver; 2. Pilot Rock; 3. Portland Christian; 4. Lost River.
Pool B: 1. Heppner; 2. Santiam; 3. Central Linn; 4. Nestucca.
Pool C: 1. Knappa; 2. Bonanza; 3. Elgin; 4. Oakland.
Pool D: 1. Lakeview; 2. Oakridge; 3. Scio; 4. Weston-McEwen.
